Pit

Discussion

The pit was situated just to the west of the post Medieval field boundary 011AC10007, and to the south of ditch 011AA00136. The fill contained 2 sherds of Roman pottery, and unusually a weasel bone (mandible), one of only two weasel bones found on the entire settlement site. The cut of the pit was much deeper in the south.
