Discussion
This was one of four trenches excavated across the stream channel in Site
11, the other three being (011AB10012,
011BA10008
and 011BD10009). Five ditches and
five pits were found in this trench, with four of the ditches angled in
such a way that they appear to be a form of control of the stream channel
water flow. It is possible that they were part of a mill pond system to
the north.
