Slot

Discussion

A short segment of ditch located between enclosure ditches 011AB10003 and 011AB10005. The feature was very truncated, with an irregular base and profile. However, it was believed during excavation that this feature was the same as the prehistoric slot 011AA00031, which was excavated 13 metres to the east. This segment was filled with a light coloured (Munsell 10/YR/44) silty sand and was cut into chalky gravel. Only one flint blade and a fragmentary non-local stone were recovered. There were no animal bones.
