Discussion

A cleaning spit over the inner enclosure ditch to define the relationship between the ditch (011AB10005) and the western edge of the Middle Saxon post-in-trench structure (011AB10013). Also defining the line of the modern pipe trench. Of note was the recovery of a partial human bone, although this was found exactly at the intersection of the two features where the modern pipe trench cut through them, and could thus not be confidently attributed to either of them.
