Discussion

A much narrower ditch than the other ditches in the trench, this ditch also has a different alignment to them. It was stratigraphically demonstrated to be earlier than the ditch 011AB00289. It only contained one unassigned potsherd and six animal bones (one of which was a dog jaw). The fill was a sandy gravel (Munsell 10/YR/43). It was cut into the natural gravel and had very regular sides and base.
