Discussion

This was a spit to remove a layer of hillwash along the line of the stream channel. It was located just to the south of an excavated trench (011AB10012) across the stream channel. No further excavation was carried out in this area, and no features were defined by the removal of this spit. Only 16 objects recovered, of which 7 were Roman potsherds.
