Discussion

An undefined feature with an elongated shape, this was one of a number of similar features in the immediate area. No finds or animal bones were recovered from this feature. The fill was a medium texture sandy loam (Munsell 10YR 3/3), with 10% chalk inclusions. The feature was cut into chalk gravel and (red) sand, with an undulating base. Animal burrowing was evident throughout.

 UNDULATING UNDEFINED CUT WITH HEAVILY BURROWED/DISTURBED CUT INSIDE ENCLOSURE. CUTS INTO GRAVELLY SAND AND SAND NATURAL. COULD BE A NATURAL FEATURE.
