Pit

Discussion

A shallow pit located just to the east of the modern drain. The fill was a medium textured loamy sand (Munsell 10YR 3/4). The only finds recovered were of a modern date (coke and a stone cinder), with one fragment of pig mandible. The pit was cut into chalk gravel and natural sand.
