Pit

Discussion

A very shallow, truncated pit situated just to the north of ditch 011AB00401. The pit was cut into chalk and sandy gravel. The fill was a dark sandy loam (Munsell 10/YR/34) and this, together with the find of a flint blade, led to the view that the pit is prehistoric in date.
