Post Hole

Discussion

One of a group of 6 post holes, located to the east of undefined feature 011AB00360 and to the west of a medieval drain,  which do not form any apparent structure or pattern. No finds were recovered from the fill, which was a medium textured loamy sand (Munsell 10YR 3/4). Some larger chalk fragments indicate that post packing was present. The feature was cut into the natural sandy chalk gravel, and had a stepped U profile.
