?Natural Feature

Discussion

Probably a natural feature situated just to the east of the modern drain. No finds were recovered from the fill, which was a fine textured loamy sand (Munsell 10YR 4/4), much lighter than all of the other features in the immediate vicinity. The fill contained a high quantity of local chalk inclusions, ranging from >1cm to more than 7cm in diameter.
