Pit

Discussion

A sub-rectangular pit, located just to the west of gully 011AB00669 and to the south of enclosure ditch 011AB10004. The fill was a fine loamy sand fill (10/YR/44) with less than 5% chalk inclusions. Only one find of undiagnostic pottery was recovered. The pit had a flat-based U profile, and was cut into iron-panned natural sand.
