Discussion

This is one of 2 shallow pits (with 011AE00120) cut into the natural chalk. In this part of the site all of the features were severely  Half-section view of 011AE00118 from the east  plough truncated. Three sherds of pottery were recovered, one of which was Romano-British in date. All of the finds were directly on the cut of the feature. A few charcoal flecks were noted, although none large enough to retrieve.
