Pit

Discussion

The pit was cut into chalk gravel natural, and filled with a dark loamy sand (Munsell 10/YR/42). Two sherds of pottery were recovered, one of possible Romano-British date, and the other Anglian. A possible post hole was located in the centre of the excavated northern half-section.
