Pit

Discussion

An elongated feature initially believed to be two inter-related pits. Subsequent excavation showed them to be a pit (011AE00200) and an animal burrow (011AE00293). Only one snail shell was recovered from the pit. The pit contained a dark loamy sand (Munsell 10/YR/42) fill, which distinguished it from the lighter fills of other features in the immediate locality.
