Post Hole

Discussion

A small, round post hole situated just to the south of ring ditch 011AE00072. No other post holes are visible in the immediate area. The post hole was cut into the chalk gravel and sand natural, and had a particularly straight-sided, flat-based profile. There were no objects or animal bones, although a small amount of daub flecking was noted during excavation.
