Pit

Discussion

.Fill of an elongated feature, situated less than 70cm to the south-west from grave 011AE00055. Only 2 potsherds (one of which is dated to the Iron Age) were recovered from this feature, both of which occurred in the central area. The feature is quite deep compared to others in the area. The excavator felt that the feature had filled up naturally with windblown material, as the fill was finer than the usual medium loamy sand found in the area.
