Pit

Discussion

The pit, initially believed to be natural, proved to contain two undiagnostic potsherds and a hazelnut shell. This indicates a probable Neolithic date for the feature. No animal bones were recovered from the fill, which was a more orange/yellow (Munsell 10/YR/54) than the usual 10/YR/44 and 10/YR/43 in this area.
