Pit

Discussion

This pit was cut in the west by a Medieval furrow, although enough remained to establish a shape and profile. One Romano-British potsherd was recovered from the pit fill, although this was found on the surface and could have been moved here by the later ploughing activity. No other finds or animal bones were recovered from the loamy sand (Munsell 10/YR/43) fill.
