Discussion

A trowelled spit to define the north-south oriented enclosure ditches in the south-eastern part of area 11AE. The central of three adjacent spits (with 011AE00410 to the north and 011AE00388 to the south), this area required further definition with spit 011AE00438. Surprisingly, no finds and only two animal bones were recovered under this number
