Discussion

The spit was removed in order to further define the ditches and slots originally defined by the removal of spit 012AA00086 and subsequently by spit 012AA00106. The spit was located 270cm north of spit 012AA00106 and succeeded in further defining north-south oriented ditches 012AA00118 and 012AA00060. A small number of objects and animal bones were recovered.
