Phasing

No diagnostic material culture was recovered from the ditch fill. Stratigraphically, it was the latest in a sequence of four similar narrow ditches.

Discussion

 A north/south aligned ditch in the north of area 12AB. This is one of four similarly aligned features in the immediate vicinity. The ditch cut through ditches 012AB00701 and 012AB00746. The northern extent was not fully established. It appears to have been given two sets of numbers in the field, although these do not relate to different fills or excavated segments of the ditch. The fill was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3), with 20% angular chalk inclusions, mainly less than 5cm in diameter
