No finds were recovered from this feature. Stratigraphically, it was the earliest excavated event in the immediate area, being cut by pit 012AB00774 and by ditches 012AB00761 and 012AB00797.

Discussion

No plans or sections exist for this feature, so only the context record, which is somewhat sparse in detail, can shed any light. It appears that a short dich segment was excavated, although it had been substantially cut away by a number of features. The fill was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3) with 5% chalk inclusions (less than 3cm in diameter.
