With no diagnostic material culture and no stratigraphic relationships, the feature remains unassigned.

Discussion

The feature was almost completely plough truncated, with only a short (2.9 metres) length remaining. It may have been the final remnant of an enclosure curving round from the west, but this has to remain speculative. The fill was a sandy clay loam (Munsell 10YR 4/3) with up to 10% chalk inclusions (0.5-6cm in diameter).

The slot was cut into chalk, with a VB-profile.
