Discussion

This roughly triangular spit was removed to define the relationships between a number of ditches at their point of intersection. As it turned out, the ditches all terminated before they reached intersected. The spit defined ditches 012AD00436 and 012AD01006, slot 012AD00456 and 012AD00606 and pit 012AD00684. The material removed was a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/2)
