Discussion
This was a short slot, located on the chalk on the western edge of the
dry valley. It contained a single fill, a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour
10YR 4/3) with 5-10% chalk inclusions. No daub or charcoal flecking were
noted. The only find was a sheep bone.
The slot was cut into chalk with a V shaped profile. The northern edge
was very clear, but the southern edge was more difficult to define.
