Phasing
The only diagnostic material culture were two late Romano-British pot sherds.
Apart from being sealed by spit 012AD08743,
the slot had no other stratigraphic relationships.
Discussion
This was a short slot, located on the western side of the dry valley. Its
fill was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), with 10% chalk inclusions.
Slight charcoal flecking was noted.
The slot was cut into fragmented chalk natural, with a roough and uneven
U-shaped cut.
