?Natural Feature
Phasing
The only diagnostic finds were 2 late Romano-British pot sherds. Apart
from being sealed by spit 012AD00676,
the feaure had no other stratigraphic relationships.
Discussion
Initially classified as slots, these features may well be natural, as animal
burrowing was prevalent in this area of the site (softer sand and sand
& gravel). This feature was filled with a loamy sand (Munsell colour
10YR 4/3) with very few small chalk inclusions. No daub or charcoal flecking
were noted.
The feature was cut (or burrowed) into sand and gravel. It was not felt
to be a continuation of ditvh 012AD08455
immediately to the west.
