Discussion

This short, curvilinear slot was located just to the east of ditch 012AD07221. The single fill was a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), with 10% chalk inclusions (0.5-2cm in diameter). Some daub was noted, but there was no charcoal present.

The slot was cut into hillwash, with a flat-based V-shaped pofile. It shallowed in the centre, before deepening in the southern terminus, possibly indicating the position of a post (not recognised in the field).
