The feature remained unexcavated, although it was cut by two post holes
of the group 012AD07263.
Discussion
This was a predominantly burnt daub feature (possibly the remains of an
oven base), although fragments of pink and white chalk were also visible.
No finds were recovered from the feature, as it was not excavated (merely
cleaned during the excavation of the
post holes) although both charcoal and burnt sandstone were noted during
this process. As can be seen from the plan above, there were two areas
which were particularly evident on the ground, with an area of slightly
less dense material between them.
