Discussion

This was the last and smallest of four spits (beneath  012AA00085, 012AA00095 and  012AA00121) in this area to try to define the return of a sequence of ditches swinging in from the south and south-east, at the intersection with the enclosures to the north. The removal of this spit finally defined the 3 ditches 012AA00085, 012AA00224, and 012AA00226.
