Pit

Discussion

A small, ovate pit in central 2CB. The fill contained three sherds of Neolithic pottery and a flint flake. The fill was a friable sandy clay (Munsell 75YR 4/4). The feature is located to the west of pit 002CB02597 and both pits are sealed by buried soil 002CB01503 (=002CB00513 and 002CB00514). Both pits are likely to be of Neolithic date
