Discussion

This wa a small pit located to the west of Grubenhaus 002CB00046. It was difficult to define and was originally believed to cut through buried soil 002CB01871, although this proved not to be the case. The pit was filled with a silty sand (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3), with very few rounded chalk inclusions.

The feature was cut into deposit 002CB00513, with a concave profile.
