Plough Furrow

Phasing

Discussion

The southerly of two east/west linear features in the south of area 2CB. The north feature is context number 002CB00076. Although classified as the wheel ruts during excavation, it is more likely that these features are plough furrows due to their proximity to the modern field boundary. They cut through two Grubenhauser to the east, 002CB01272 and 002CB00089.
