Discussion

A well preserved, articulated dog skeleton to the west of Grubenhaus 002CC01819. Aligned NW/SE in an ovate pit, the skeleton was associated with a horse skull to the south and a pig jaw bone to the north/west. A prehistoric pottery sherd and flint were recovered from the immediate area of the skeleton and were lifted using the skeleton context instead of the pit fill context number.
