Pit

Phasing

Discussion

Assessed as a Neolithic pit during excavation, the material culture does not support this interpretation, particularly with one of the 2 potsherds recovered being assessed as Anglian in date. A fairly large, oval pit, also interesting for the inclusion of a bovine skull.
