002DB00111, 002DB00117 and 002DB00124

A group of three ?natural features.

Discussion

These were a group of three natural features, one of which was sealed by the medieval ploughmarks (002DB00028). Only two finds were recovered from the features, both of which were late Roman potsherds. The excavators believed that they might be tree bowls, and while this is possible, they could equally be the remains of animal burrows.
