Discussion

A terrace was noted running east-west across the central part of area 2DC, and the fill (generally a hillwash, Munsell 10YR 4/3, with occasional chalk inclusions) was removed in a number of arbitrary spits. This spit was the most westerly of these, being the same as spit 002DC00092 above, although containing a lower density of finds.
