Discussion

A cobble surface in the north of area 2DC. The edge of the surface respects a series of north/south ditches (master 002DC00150) and probably represents the entrance to a large enclosure. The surface is cut through by two Early Saxon features, a pit (002DC00096) and a dog skeleton (002DC00009). It is cut by a further pit 002DC00116 on the south edge.
