Discussion

One of three probable animal burrows (with 002DC00239 and 002DC00241) situated just to the north of Grubenhaus 002DB00038. No finds were recovered from any of the features. The fill was a friable sandy silt (Munsell 10YR 4/3) with occasional chalk inclusions.

Note: Although the features occur in what was Area 2DB in 1989, a number of 2DC features were not excavated until 1990, and these form part of the group which were given 2DC context numbers.
