Discussion

A shallow, north/south aligned pit in the east of area 2DC containing the articulated skeleton of a dog. The skeleton was aligned with the head to the south and the legs flexed. The upper part of the fill was removed under a spit number (002DC00006). The pit cut through a cobbled surface (002DC00135) and a series of north/south ditches to the east (master 002DC00150).
