Discussion

This was the southernmost of two (in effect they were cleaning spits, but were classified as layers by the excavator) contexts (with 011AB00811) over the south-western corner of enclosure ditch 011AB10005. The material removed was a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 7.5YR 3/2). It sealed an elongated feature (011AB00772) and another "layer" (011AB00803), which is more likely to be a ditch fill in master 011AB10005. The finds included a worked bone spoon bowl, as well as a worked bone decorated handle.
