Discussion

This was a rectangular spit, removed to define a series of east-west aligned ditches. This spit was immediately to the north-west of spit 012AD00394. The material removed was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/2). A large number of both animal bones and objects were recovered.
