Discussion
The single fill was 012AD08493, a sandy loam (Munsell
colour 10YR 4/3), with 20% chalk inclusions (1-8cm in diameter). No daub
or charcoal flecking was noted. Although the context record indicates both
pottery and animal bones were found, these do not appear in the finds databases.
It is possible that they were lifted under the larger pit's number (012AD08495),
although this cannot be positively confirmed.
The pit was cut into sand & gravel, with a U-shaped profile.
