Discussion

This trench, along with 13AA and 13AB, was excavated by machine on the 3rd August 1995. It was sited specifically to investigate the western boundary ditches of the settlement. In the event, only one of the ditches was detected, a regular, V-profiled ditch, deepening towards the southern edge of the trench. The fill contained no objects and only 3 animal bones.
