Post Hole Group

Discussion

A group of five post holes located in an otherwise empty area in the centre of 2DC. The post holes do not have a clear linear alignment, although 002DC00139, 002DC00143 and 002DC00147 do appear to continue the line of the ditch Master 002DC00186. All of the postholes contained charcoal, although only one (002DC00147) contained any evidence of post packing (a small piece of sandstone). The postholes were severely truncated by ploughing, with only 002DC00147 being deeper than 5cm.
