The ditch is cut through by the north/south ditches of master 002DC00150, likely to be a replacement for masters 002DC00186 and 002DC00151. The relationship with curvilinear ditch 002DC00188 was not established due to the similarity of the fills, but this ditch was also believed to be cut by 002DC00150.
The evidence suggests there was an enclosure in this part of the site for a considerable period of time. Masters 002DC00186 and 002DC00151 are likely to be Iron Age in date, replaced by master 002DC00150 which in turn was re-cut many times, before falling out of use during the Early Saxon period.
