Discussion

This was the final cleaning spit to define the south-western corner of enclosure 011BA07129. The material removed was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Also defined were ditches 011BA00545, 011BA00688 and post hole line 011BA07134, around which most of the finds appeared to cluster (note that a geophysical anomaly was noted at this point, although it was not seen during excavation).
