Discussion
This was a cleaning spit (partly beneath spit 012AB00463
and also across the area originally covered by the baulk between areas
12AA and 12AB) across the eastern segment of the buried soil ("farm mound")
deposit. This spit contained the highest density of both finds and animal
bones. Note that in the west (as in spits 012AB00457
and 012AB00463), the finds are more
densely clustered across the southern part of the excavated area, although
in the east they area more evenly spread.
