Discussion

This was an area of darker silty clay loam (ni Munsell colour recorded), which was excavated as a single deposit. However, it soon became clear that it was made up of at least three distinct features, Grubenhaus 012AB07004, pit 012AB00686 and ditch 012AB00427. The only finds were a sherd of samian and five animal bones.
